After not using the water-cooled chiller for a long time, some problems may occur, such as scale clogging, rusty pipes, aging pumps and so on. Therefore, before reusing the water-cooled chiller, a series of treatments need to be carried out to ensure its normal operation.
Firstly, the water tank and pipes of the water-cooled chiller should be thoroughly cleaned. Special cleaning agents or vinegar water can be used to clean the water tank and pipes, so that the water tank and pipes are cleaned of scale and impurities. When cleaning, pay attention to the use of appropriate tools, such as brushes or cotton swabs, to ensure that all corners are cleaned in place.
Next, the water pump needs to be checked and maintained. Not using it for a long time will cause the water pump to deteriorate and it may leak or run poorly. The pump can be removed for inspection and parts can be replaced or repaired if needed.
Also, the cooling system and heat sink need to be checked. Long periods of non-use may result in the loss or deterioration of the coolant in the cooling system, which needs to be checked and new coolant added. The heat sink should also be cleaned to ensure good heat dissipation.
Finally, before restarting the water-cooled chiller, a thorough test should be carried out. This includes checking that all pipes and connections are sealed, that the pump is functioning properly, and that the cooling system is working properly. Only after ensuring that all components are functioning properly should the chiller be restarted.
